There's a reason over 70% of the world's buildings were constructed by masonry.

It's beautiful, simple, structurally sound for decades (or even centuries) and offers many more unique benefits. We love to work with masonry and always encourage our clients to incorporate it into their landscaping. We are fortunate enough to employ a licensed master stone mason from the United Kingdom , he is a true master of his craft.

What it takes to become a master stonemason in the United Kingdom:

1. Apprenticeship (3 years) – Each stonemason must serve about a three-year apprenticeship under the guidance and training of a master stonemason to earn the journeyman rank.

2. Journeyman (3 years) – After novice stonemasons finish their apprenticeships with masters, they earn the title of journeyman. At this stage, they can work on their own for an employer to earn wages, but cannot yet open their own shop or train others in the craft.

3. Master – Towards the end of the third year as a journeyman, stonemasons must create their own masterpiece and pass a test to move on to the rank of master. Only the most diligent and knowledgeable of stonemasons make it all the way to this level.

There's nothing better.

When you look at it as an all-rounder and compare it to any other material, it almost always outperforms. It has been used for over 6,000 years and the fact that over 70% of buildings today are constructed using masonry is a testament to its superiority.
